MSFW 2014 Designer Runway #1
It’s 5pm and the excitement builds as we get ourselves ready to attend the first designer runway for MSFW (Melbourne Spring Fashion Week) 2014!
After out driver cleverly navigates through peak hour traffic and we arrive at the glowing Melbourne Town Hall just after 6pm.
We head straight to the bar to secure a much needed refreshment after a very busy day at Style with Cindy.
Finally relaxed and in our seats we sip our champagne and rummage through our goodie bags.
Seated right in front of the runway at MSFW, the band appears. Not your average band, an orchestra (and what a great one I might add!)
The show began with a feathered angel appearing in a floor length white gown – just divine!
JASONGRENCH was up first and ran with a theme of head dresses using fascinators and feathers.
Following Jason on the runway with their creations were Aurelio Costarella, Michael Lo Sordo, Carla Zampatti, Dom Bagnato, Gwendolynne, Nicolangela and Anaessia.
Props were heavily relied on throughout the entire runway which spilled with creativity such as fishtail braid with key’s tied at the end – really gorgeous!
As usual, there were a lot of blacks and whites, however we did see splashes of metallic, pastels and a few deeper colours which was surprising for spring!
It’s safe to say that the first main runway of MSFW was nothing short of stunning with impeccable designs and some incredible creativity – just a dream to watch.
