Must Have Winter Essentials
Winter has certainly hit in Melbourne and although in some states I know it’s still quite warm, it’s time to prepare for the inevitability of the winter season. So, to ignite some interest and excitement we have an array of options and ideas to wet your taste buds.
My models today are Rachel and Jen from my office, and Alice, one of my stylists who dropped by for a quick few shots between personal styling consults. Venturing out for a bit of fun together in front of the cameras playing dress ups is always a welcome change to the office, and boy did we have some fun!
Jen and Rach were both tempted with outfit purchases, made even more enticing at the moment due to the sales and extra markdowns in store. 😊 Great time to shop, so let’s shop …
Boots are always a winter essential and are available in various lengths to fit and flatter – long, ankle and over the knee. Great with or without tights. As we get colder, tights make more sense! 😊
Scarves are an easy grab for warmth as well as adding colour to an outfit!
Cardigans are long – hip and knee length. Waterfalls or straight. They are the perfect layering piece providing warmth and comfort.
Knits are huge this year. I have purchased quite a few already and loving the bell sleeve details. Look out for colour too with the dusky pinks and greys we have seen over the last few months making way for some striking jewel tones to add a pop of colour to your winter wardrobe.
Dresses are a no-brainer for winter – with or without tights. You’ll be seeing velvets, florals, frills and simple A-lines providing lots of great options. Wear with long or ankle boots to complete the perfect winter look.
A great jacket is essential to a versatile winter wardrobe. Choose carefully as, ideally, you want this to be an everlasting piece! 😊
