Vietnam 2017 – where to start?!
I personally think it was amazing and if I go by all the feedback from the 17 travellers that came with us then it was an absolute success!
Two tours this year! As this is our 3rd year to Vietnam for Style With Cindy, each time we have learnt, improved and expanded these trips.
With Tour 1 taking in the amazing city of Saigon and staying in a beautiful hotel being spoilt by all its offerings, the group bonded very quickly with varying age groups from the 30’s through to 80’s!
I cannot describe the laughter and general warmth, fun and comradery of the group as we explored this busy and exciting city.
Massages and facials began almost instantly being snuck in and around sightseeing, boat cruises, pho lunches and market visits … too much fun!
Once we hit Hoi An, the pace slowed to match that of the picturesque, gorgeous old town. The hotel pool bar quickly became the place to meet and talk about the day’s events over happy hour… $2 whisky!!
I must say the tailoring was a highlight for the group. Much fun to be had! Creating new looks or copying much-loved pieces to be replaced with new fabrics and colours and come away in just a few days with heaps of new clothes to fill wardrobes with. I loved helping the group design perfect one of a kind pieces that perfectly suited each person from the cut & style to the colours. .. and of course budget friendly!
After impromptu karaoke, bottle shops (of sorts), late night pool chats and a final night of show and tell of our tailoring, sadly we said goodbye to a group of amazing, wonderful, fun people.
Tour 2 arrived, 1 person down unfortunately due to health. We all bonded very quickly and tailoring, laughing, pampering and poolside chats became the norm of our days!
What I really enjoyed were the chats with different women about how this trip had been so invigorating and empowering for them. We were surrounded by beauty and often serenity but mostly positivity. A very necessary recipe, I think, to help recharge the batteries and revaluate life.
Thank you to all that came! Thank you to those for coming again! I know there are many wanting to come next year again…so we are delivering!!

New options/tours/hotels – very exciting!
So, in order to achieve the 3 tours and shake things up for our tour repeaters, Cal and I, for our annual getaway we do this time of the year, have decided to head back to Vietnam and do the research … I know – hard hey?!
