What to wear to a Winter/Spring wedding
We are heading out of winter and on the other side is the wedding season … Spring!
For many of us, though, we still attend weddings throughout the winter months and being inspired to throw on some strappy heels and a flowing dress can be a little challenging in the chilly weather!
We’ve captured a few styles to get you thinking!
It’s quite common for me to help someone while on a Personal Shopping Expedition to put an outfit together for a wedding.
More people are seeing the benefit of engaging a Personal Stylist when looking for an outfit for a special occasion.
Stylists take the stress out of the decision-making process, saving a lot of the time and often money when not buying multiple choices and incorrect items only to cast them aside or return them in sheer frustration!
In winter many of us are invited to weddings interstate or even overseas … maybe Bali or Hawaii, so the weather may be warmer (especially if you are coming from Melbourne).
Weddings might be …
Back garden – semi casual
Restaurant – semi smart casual
Church and reception – formal
Beach/garden – semi/smart casual
… and it can be tricky to navigate the different dress codes:
Wherever it is, style is always important, but remember you will usually be dancing the night away so comfort is too!
Make sure you feel great in something simple, you know you look good in.
Think about your spend – if buying new…. will you get to wear it again and where?
These days you can always buy a dress using an instore 20% off promotion, on sale or new and quite inexpensive
Most of the items I am featuring on the blog today are on sale to show you that you can get great quality pieces if you know the right time to shop! If not… ask a Stylist.. the saving you will make on clever purchasing will often cover the price of Styling Session!
If the wedding is not an over the top, exclusive event then try to find a dress you can jazz up for the day and integrate into your everyday life, or social calendar.
More formal/structured weddings need a more polished look. All the boxes ticked on this look!
Semi-formal weddings, eg on the beach, bring into play a floaty maxi dress or a lightweight trouser and top.
The look still needs to be smick 🙂 but can be a bit more relaxed.
Who’s off to a wedding? Who’s just attended a wedding?
Our stylists can help you put the whole look together from nail polish to your earrings. 🙂
