Fashion Magazine

Kyle before and after her style makeover with Cindy Newstead Fashion stylist in Melbourne

When I was growing up I would consistently go through every fashion magazine I could get my hands on. I did not have a lot of money so I would stand in newsagents and go over and over them much to the annoyance of the shop owner I am sure.

However, I had my favourite fashion magazines so I would save my pennies and purchase them. These were like gold to me and I would tear out pictures of fashion I loved and kept them in a box where I would consistently refer to them almost daily.

The great thing about fashion magazines is the knowledge you can get from them, after going through a number of magazines month after month, year after year, you develop an eye for what looks good and what does not. You also learn what styles you are attracted to and watching what celebrities are wearing too helps define your own personal style.

I have also been told that the pages from fashion magazines are excellent kitty litter tray liners but you will not see me doing this, I think its sacrilegious to do such a thing to a fashion magazine, however, I guess there is a lot of crap in amongst the good fashion photos so I can forgive a little on that.

Getting images online using your smartphone by taking screen shots is another way to gather photos of what you like and to keep you up dated with the evolving trends worldwide, at the same time it will keep you focused on style and fashion which will develop your eye and skills for putting together looks that you love.

Your own personal style is important to keep evolving so that you do not fall into a style rut which can affect your confidence and self-esteem and sometimes it can be a long hard road to get yourself out of this.

Don’t forget having a personal stylist to help with all this is a clever way to keep on top of this part of your life, they are not expensive when you consider the saving you will make in getting a cleverly put together mix and match wardrobe and the saving of your own sanity!
