What To Wear For School Pick Up
Almost the same time every year we write a blog on what to wear for school pick up and drop off.
Some of you will be thinking what the…. why worry? Others will be thinking… I’m off to the gym, so workout clothes will do. For soooo many of you though (I can say this quite clearly as I’m told this so often) what to wear is a real issue.
I remember when my lot were all at school and I was taking my kids to playgroup, kindergarten and primary school. I was not a trackie girl and I didn’t go to the gym. I loved to look good because it made me feel great. Little could anyone have guessed by the way I dressed that most days I might just be going home to bake and clean.

We don’t all go straight home after drop off, or at least may not want to be forced to. Armed with a cute outfit that you can throw together quickly, while getting everyone else in the house set and off on their days, you can look good and feel great. You may even decide to drop in on a friend on a whim, grab a coffee from the local, or even venture to a major shopping centre, no extra preparation required. Imagine the freedom.

The night before, think a bit about your day and what’s planned. Having an idea in mind the night before of what you’ll need and how you want to look can save time when you’re worrying about others in the morning.

Think about how you might normally dress for a drop off and how you ultimately end the day. Is there an in between that can work for the whole day? Can you raise the bar a little for the morning’s work with just a little effort that will take you further into the day?

Shoes will always make an impact. Some of you typically wear flats, some wedges and some a heel. Think about your shoe options throughout the day. Sometimes leaving a neutral heel or wedge in the boot, or something a little dressier, might just come in handy in taking you from morning through to afternoon.
How do you like to feel when dropping the kids off? Think beyond the task at hand and you can start your day looking and feeling a whole lot better.
