Bargain Shopping For Winter Trends
While many of my readers and clients enjoy the luxury side of fashion, in reality, many are on a budget, so this blog is for you!!! 🙂
It’s no secret that not everyone is in a position to invest greatly on their wardrobe but this doesn’t mean they can’t look the part.
So today’s post will offer a selection of stylish items and looks for those on a smaller budget. ( Please note…..these photos are taken on the run and in tight places. As always they are unedited so forgive lighting or complexion flaws. After all, it’s all about showcasing an every day natural look……be kind as these all look better on a body than off!)
Now just to remove any stigma associated with budget clothing, a reminder that while there might be some retailers that attach an unnecessary price tag to their clothing thanks to their powerful brand name, price is generally dictated by the fabric, tailoring and longevity of the item.
However this doesn’t mean a faux leather jacket will not take you through a season or two, it may just not ‘wear’ like real leather.
We’ve certainly sourced some style wonders under $100 and a few that are over but heavily discounted and here are some shopping guidelines to consider when bargin shopping for winter trends on a budget:
- Opt for neutral and classic colours and tones where you can. They will generally appear richer in fabric and exude a little more luxury than brights or seasonal trend colours.
- Try to purchase pieces that are of better quality and avoid fabrics that you think may stretch, pill or perhaps shrink. Low budget clothing shouldn’t mean a one-time wear.
- Seen something on the runway and fell in love? Zara and H&M bring runway looks (within weeks) to their stores and prices fit for everyone.
- Always try clothes on, as an ill fitted garment is no good for anyone, regardless of price.
- Finally, look out for sales of your most coveted brands. Sometimes you’ll be amazed at the markdowns and might secure an expensive item for much less. So subscribe to emails and follow the social media pages of your favourite stores. Style With Cindy will keep you updated also.
So after reviewing these looks, you may keep everyone guessing about what you paid for an item. Sometimes budget pieces can look just as good as their expensive neighbours.
