What to Wear This Easter Long Weekend
The Easter Break is a little more than just a four-day weekend for some.
It’s an opportunity to catch up with family and friends and eat a little chocolate – and then a little more.
Easter Sunday can also be like Christmas Day with many enjoying a food fest at home or heading out for lunch.
The jetsetters might be flying off somewhere exotic or you might be camping under the stars or taking a road trip.
Although for many of us, Easter is a time to recharge our batteries after the flurry of the New Year, so sometimes the “at home” option is best. However staying put can also mean a coffee catch up, movie out with the kids, day trips or gardening if the weather allows it.
While I love a cute overall – gardening is not for me. I’m more of a “let’s sit in a courtyard café garden with coffee” type of girl. i.e. I will be out and about.
So whatever your plans, today I’ve put together a host of looks to suit wherever the Easter Break might take you.
“Home” Style
Smart Casual
This is for those who will be heading out to celebrate, or hosting the day from home. Anyone also attending church on Easter Sunday will also work the smart casual dress code. Oh and if you love a classic look – team your look with a fabulous woollen hat.
Outdoors
Now for many of you, a camping trip may be on the agenda so yes – you can probably leave your heels behind. Actually, perhaps pack one pair just in case you head out to a nice restaurant – you never know 🙂
So in terms of other footwear attire, think ankle boots, flats or your favourite pair of Haviana’s should you be somewhere where the weather allows flip-flops.
Of course, you’ll also need the cover-ups so this season’s long line vest, cardigan and woollen wraps will work for you.
April can be hot or very cold if you are in Melbourne but for the rest of Australia, the sun will continue to come out especially those of you in the Northern states, however, it can still tend to get a bit chilly at night– so this next section is for you.
Island Jetsetting
Now for those of you travelling to an exotic getaway or coast – I would say lucky you but I know you deserve it.
You’re my favourite category as you’ll get to mix and match resort wear with the final pieces of summer fashion.
If you’ll be dining out somewhere glorious, you’ll need that evening frock with wedge sandals or you might take that kaftan from day to night with a few accessories.
So that’s it from me but I would love to hear what you’re doing over the Easter break? Oh and what you’ll be wearing?!
P.S. On Easter Sunday, bunny ears go with everything.
Enjoy!

Great tips Cindy. I love the Seed top you are wearing with the leopard scarf. Is it from the current season or from summer as I cannot find it on the Seed website. It would also appear that leopard skin is in!
