10 Looks: What to Wear To School Drop Off
For so many of you, five days of your week will consist of driving your child(ren) backwards and forwards to school – from kinder to secondary college.
I can vividly recall a client booking me for a wardrobe audit and a shop based on her upcoming challenge (terror) on what to wear to the school pick up?
Her child was starting at a private school and in this situation, she felt it called for a little fashion effort, something she was not really focusing on.
Challenged by the feeling that her wardrobe was dull and factoring in that she was aware and self-conscious about some extra weight she was carrying, she found herself at a loss of what to wear.
So she sought my help and I couldn’t have been more delighted to reinvigorate her mind and her wardrobe.
So today’s blog is very visual and no hard and fast rules of what/not to wear. I’ve simply put together a few outfits for inspiration or to help spark your own thinking.
Today, we’ve purposely looked to lower priced items where possible to make it more palatable to young families.
We are entering into a new season but still lingering between some warmer days. So I’ve worked some tran-seasonal pieces into the looks.
Now before I go, I understand that for some of you, it’s a quick school drop. You’re not getting out of the car and you’re not socialising.
HOWEVER, I believe everyone should always be dressed for opportunity should a teacher or mother approach you or perhaps your child needs you to get out of the car one day – don’t leave yourself short.
Just a reminder that the school ground isn’t really the place for sequins and not necessary the place for heels; your outfit can be casual, comfortable and affordable (with your favourite flats) and you will still look the part.
I promise you’ll feel better for it.
I hope you enjoy today’s blog!

Love them all, I can relate to this one very much. I love the Witchery Shirt dress, I Iooked at it yesterday, soooo good for school drop off and pick ups and the camel coloured wool coat, so many lovely things, and my price range too. Love the high heels, I’m still getting use to the Sorrento move that no one wears hells so I go for a small ankle boot. I’ve also tried on those Wittner boots (shoe fitting) LOVE THEM and amazing good on petite girls if you have slim leg.
