9 Casual Holiday Looks
The holiday season is close – can you feel it?
No peak hour traffic, relaxed outings with family and friends and lazy days with no agenda are just around the corner.
It’s a time where we can actually stop, slow right down and hopefully spend our days doing the things we love most.
I’m already receiving out-of-office notifications where people are returning from holidays after Australia Day – a lovely break if you can manage it!
Alternatively, many of my retail friends will work through and others will just take the main days.
Personally, I will only be having the shorter break as we will be moving back into Chadstone with our first ever styling suite in February. (We are super excited and this is a blog post for another day!)
Now, a few days off is not to be scoffed at, and may see you at home a little more. So in my world, this will mean relaxing at home with my family and perhaps a day trip here and there calling for some nice new casual alternatives from my normal styling clothes.
So today we’re leaving the holiday sparkles and sequins for another day and looking at casual looks for the holiday season.
I’ve scouted through Chadstone to work some casual styles (many of which I wouldn’t usually consider) to cover a few casual holiday options. I’ve tried to showcase a variety of styles and budgets. What do you think?
- Camping
- OS Travel
- Interstate Trips
- The Occasional Restaurant/BBQ etc.
Now I know some of my readers will be wondering why they need an “outfit” for a day at home or for camping when any old thing will do.
However, today’s blog is reaching out to those who enjoy a “considered” look.
While you may be staying at home, perhaps you’re meeting one of your child’s partners for the first time and want to look casual yet stylish.
On the other end of the scale, you might be the one meeting the parents and want to make a good impression.
Or… you just like to dress “nicely” even if you are at home.
If you were out camping or on a day-trip, comfort and purposeful clothing is a priority but perhaps you wouldn’t mind something different to wear to the local restaurant or pub that evening for dinner.
Again, on interstate trips, it’s nice to bring a few “outfits” with you to wear as your explore town.
Just a thought 🙂
A final note on the looks I’ve placed together is that I’m wearing heels in the photos as I’m under five foot and on the run between consults. You can of course trade heels for flats, wedges or sandals.
So I hope you’ve enjoyed our casual holiday fashion blog post and now I would love to hear from you.
What are your plans for the holidays?
