Runway To Every Day Model Series – Wiebke
Welcome to our final installment of our AW14 Runway to Every Day Model Series.
We loved Ashlea’s youthful style, thought Julie and Arona rocked leather like nobody’s business and gushed over handsome Ian.
Sharyn showed us that style is achievable at any age while Tanyah proved even petite bodies have sexy curves and now we’re onto our final model, the lovely Wiebke.
Wiebke is 40 years of age and wears a size 14. She came to Style With Cindy in search of a style reinvention. Wiebke’s drive to change her style came when as a teacher, she moved from a public school to private school in a new country which called for a new dress code.
Wiebke is also learning how to dress her post-baby body and all the fabulous new curves that come with it.
Body Shape:
Like the majority of women, Wiebke is an inverted triangle body shape where most of her weight is carried through the top half of her body: through broad shoulders as well as adding a larger bust and stomach to the equation.
Generally this shape sees the shoulders generally wider than the hips.
Aim:
To balance Wiebke’s top and bottom half by bringing some definition in through the waist and hips to create a strong feminine silhouette. Being post-baby, Wiebke is also carrying some additional weight across her bust and stomach so it’s important to slim these areas where possible.
Outfit One: Casual
We knew Wiebke would nail this winter white and monochromatic look which has her looking effortlessly stylish.
As we’ve mentioned in other trend posts, white really is the hottest colour for this AW14 and the crisper it is, the better. It also instantly brings a touch of luxe to a look when worn in a heavier fabric.
This coat is perfect for Wiebke’s body shape thanks to its wrap-around feature which is quite flattering. The cinched in belt highlights Wiebke’s waist and the top of the coat has minimal detailing flattering the area while the bottom half of the coat draws the attention down below.
The black dress underneath is made from a quality jersey fabric which just glides over Wiebke streamlining her stomach while it’s different length hemline contrasts well with the coat.
We placed Weibke’s great legs into a pair of flat knee high boots for warmth and style and teamed the overlook with classic black accessories – no need for anything else.
Dress and Trench: Country Road
Clutch: Mocha
Boot: Jo Mercer
Accessories: Lovisa
Outfit Two: Smart Casual
Capes needn’t be fairytale-esque or flowy and superhero-like, Wiebke has demonstrated just how chic and sophisticated they can actually look.
The long sleeves on this cape is perfect for the warmer months and it features very simple detailing which exudes a little luxury and also flatters Wiebke’s overall shape.
Underneath, we’ve placed Wiebke into a structured dress featuring a muted leopard pattern which runs through the whole body and is cinched at the waist cleverly streamlining and elongating Wiebke further.
The knee length dress is from CUE and features a voluminous bottom constructed with pleats and “silent pockets” bringing the attention to her lower half that now visually balances with Wiebke’s shoulders. |The dress was a favourite of Wiebkes as she saw this as a great dress for teaching in!
Dress and Cape: Cue
Bag: Cue
Shoe: Ninewest
Accessories: Lovisa
Outfit Three: Evening
How fabulously fun does Wiebke look? We thought after two elegant ensembles, we’d bring in some colour, patterns and not too feminine florals.
This dress just glides over Wiebke’s figure, highlighting all the right curves and the black foundation of the dress makes it slimming and flattering.
With the overlay cardigan, we opted for a cropped length that sits at the waist highlighting it and have opted for elbow length sleeves both for winter warmth and to further proportion the body.
For evening, we wanted to bring in a luxury accessory so have opted for a modern take on a classic pearl necklace which highlights Wiebke’s décolletage.
Wiebke’s carrries this look well as it strongly exudes femininity and class, this was another personal favourite of hers.
Dress, Cardigan, Bag and Accessories: Alannah Hill
Shoes: Jo Mercer
Thank you for all the comments on our past models and again we would love to hear your comments on Wiebke’s runway looks and if there is anything you think you might like to try.
On a final note, we hope you enjoyed being a part of Runway to Every Day, whether you attended the event or were a virtual contributor through the blog – we love all our participants!
We hope we’ve inspired, entertained and provided some value style advice that you too can bring into your own wardrobe. These models were all dressed to suit their age, body shape and personal lifestyle.
Many models actually purchased some or all of the looks that we put them in. So our aim is to not have you all loving every look, but admiring the fact that it looks great on them!
Remember that everybody has the ability to choose to look amazing every day. I want you to fall in love with your body, it’s lumps, it’s bumps and dress it accordingly.
Every time you dress, you tell your story to the world, so why shouldn’t it be a brilliant story? Style can be life changing, give it a go.
Love Cindy x

Love the crispness of the white, but being practical about it, any tips on washing whites would be appreciated (and yes, I know to keep it separate, but I never seem to retain the crispness). The realities of stains, smears, odour marks, all put me off adding this chromatic to my wardrobe.
