Shopping Challenge: Visit A Store That You Think is “Too Young” For You

During many of my style consultations, I will take clients aged in their 40’s and 50’s into stores like Sportgirl, Forever New and Kookai and their initial response is generally: “I have not been in here for years, isn’t it too young for me?”

I will always encourage my clients to consider these stores as they are worth a look no matter what your age. While you may automatically assume the stores may not be suitable, you might be surprised at some clothing basics you might find, along with an abundance of accessories and small items that you can team up with other pieces in your wardrobe to give them a lift.

At my recent real world runway at Chadstone – The Fashion Capital, one of my models was in her 50’s and one of the outfits I put together for her included items from Kookai. I have included the video below so you can see how the outfit comes together.
