Style Tips on How to Fashionably Dress your Bust Size!
Ladies! This is part one of a two part blog post on how to dress the bust size you have. This week we are discussing LARGE busts and how to dress them!
I will be picking various items that range in fabric, colour, cuts and trends!
This will give some of my new readers an insight into one of the most common challenges we women face dressing for our body shape and how to cater for it.
This will also be a bit of a refresher for many of my clients that may have forgotten.
Our bodies are crazy but wonderful things and can certainly be perplexing at times due to the diversity and combinations of body shapes and body features; this rings true when it comes to dressing the bust size you have.
Just one example is that it’s possible to be shorter in the torso and have a larger bust or longer in the torso with a larger bust, this causes differences in the way we should dress even if we have similar bust sizes, and this is what can be quite confusing and leave many not knowing what to wear.
The first aspect to consider even before you start dressing is to ask yourself, when was the last time you had a bra fitting done?
Like anything, if you do not start with a good foundation, you will not get a good result, so if you have not had a bra fitting in the last 12 months then head on down to your favourite lingerie specialist and make sure that you are fitted well.
Some key pointers……excuse the pun 🙂
- You MUST open up your chest area
- Avoid bulky fabrics
- Less is best on your upper torso and chest
- Thin fabrics
- Avoid big flouncy frills
- Create centre lines using zips, buttons and lines in fabric, breaking up the chest area.
- Avoid bulk
- Avoid large lapels
- Avoid double breast jackets
- Avoid bulky jewellery and heavy scarves
- Shorter waisted…….avoid wide belts, try thin if any!
- Longer torso……..try wide to medium, if any!
