More Autumn & Winter Fashion 2017
The year is flying by, Autumn/Winter style is well underway, with some stores even launching mid-season sales today!
When taking a look a look at Autumn/Winter 2017, there are the seasonal winners that return every year, and some new trends that have taken hold for 2017.
Autumn/Winter 17 is showcasing yearly autumnal colours including lots of navy, orange/rust and deep reds, with 2017 trends of retro florals, white, dusky pink, satin, velvet, ruffles and bell sleeves.
Heavier knitwear is starting to come through ( more on that next blog!!) , but predominantly lighter layers, blouses and longer skirts are ticking a lot of boxes for this time of year!
I hit the stores with Senior Stylist Gabrielle to pick out some key pieces that you will love this time of year!
Satin & Sleeves
This black satin top with a flared sleeve brings femininity and is luxe enough to dress up any outfit – plus.. you feel very special wearing it!
A piece such as this is timeless enough to wear season after season but very current for the satin & bell sleeve focus this season.
I love this skirt as it will work with so many black tops in my wardrobe and will be one of the few items of colour I can reach for during the winter months to team with tights and boots!
Satin is having a huge revival this season and navy is the perfect versatile alternative to black, and huge this year!
The long line of this trench is elongating and perfect for layering this time of year!
If you are a little unsure of how to elongate your proportions, a Styling Session with one of our personal stylists can open your eyes to new possibilities!
Dusky Pink
Head into any of the high street stores and you will see dusky pink! What a joy for my clients who love feminity and romance but still want to feel sophisticated.
There are so many dusky pink pieces available, Forever New & Portmans in particular, have a fabulous range perfect for a seamless transition from casual day to night, and perfect for desk to dinner.
Edge
If rocking a bit more edge is more your style, check out this powerful combo from Cue.
I’m loving this box bag, sharp edges and hardware, and also available in animal print – a killer accessory to elevate any look.
Fresh White Style
White is the hot neutral this season!
How gorgeous is this piece from Cue?
Is anything more elegant for winter than a fresh white coat?!
With modern detail on the cuffs and collar you can also layer this jacket with a flared or bell sleeve to bring even more interest to your look.
Hope I’ve provided you with some inspiration today, and perhaps opened your mind to some styles you may not have thought to try!
What are your thoughts on Autumn/Winter 2017 fashion?
Would love to hear from you!

I was just thinking, the trench did a great job last winter. They were all over the place. Will this trend continue this year? Women’s fashion is highly unpredictable. In fact, it changes like the breeze. I have my eyes on a trench coat which is worth a lot. I thought I will seek some advice if buying it will be a wise decision or not. Any suggestions?

Hi Purnima, the trench is a staple that returns every season.
I would invest in a trench if it is in a classic neutral colour where as an on trend colour can go out of style.
