What to Wear this Easter Long Weekend
I am going into Easter this year with a heavy heart.
My beautiful Mum went into a nursing home this week and I can’t stop the tears… it’s just the start and Dad has tried so hard to keep her at home. I am just heartbroken for them both.
I share this with you as so many of you ask after my Mum and how she is doing, I have been very open about her struggle with Alzheimer’s and I feel it is important that we all open up and share our life experiences as it is one of the hardest things to see our parents at this stage of their life.
I have been blown away by your messages of support on Facebook and wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart.
As always, I find burying myself in my work and talking fashion helps – so let’s all talk Easter Fashion!!
Casual, Breezy Easter
Four whole days to relax!
If you prefer a more casual Easter with friends and family, catching up for coffee with girlfriends, heading to holiday homes and having casual long lunches or running after kiddies, denim is a great option.
A classic statement T-shirt, is a great go to in your wardrobe, and we love this Witchery option with a feminine edge.
It also has a black option, and we love how accessorising dresses this look up or down.
You can easily team white sneakers with this look but these jelly boots are a perfect option if heading out to walk a local park, lake or keep dry in the wet weather.
Heading away for the weekend?
Pack a trans-seasonal knit and your denim.
This on-trend knit from Country Road is in Autumn’s hue of the season and can easily be layered, but elevates every look with the neck and quality fabric.
Denim is such an easy item to pack to mix and match and this denim choice is great for Kate as there are no whisker lines or fading drawing attention to the thigh/hip area.
This is a must for triangle shape or for those with thighs and hips as their area of concern.
If you need any help with your body shape or how to balance your proportions, we have a Define Your Style or Personal Shopping Expedition available which includes a body shape analysis.
Lucky enough to be experiencing warmer weather?
This denim embroidered skirt from Sheike is another versatile piece that can be dressed up or down.
We love this Sheike shirt also that can be worn tied or open layered over a favourite dress or tank but instantly elevates your look.
Tan boots are a versatile wardrobe item that you will wear again and again for the next few seasons.
Stepping Up Your Easter Style
Want to look on trend, stylish yet effortless at the same time?
I love this look from Witchery starring the green hue, gorgeous knit and killer boots.
This denim is a really cool look, casual yet edgy, you will get a lot of wear out of this style.
My absolute favourite… black !
The accessories I have selected really make this look for me.
The backpack is a must have, I already have a very similar Cue backpack in white but I would love to own this also!
The boots from Jo Mercer are such a unique mix of suede and patent I am loving them and receive so many compliments.
Open toed boots are a great transitional option, and dress up denim and pants of any style as they are so fashion forward.
While an oversized knit is quite casual, this season it is very on trend, especially in an off the shoulder style, so will bring oomph to your look also – not to mention being extremely cosy!
Warmer Easter?
It is no secret I love Cue.
I have been a huge supporter of the brand since I wore a Cue dress to my very first session as a Stylist 20 years ago.
How fun yet stylish is this gorgeous flattering dress?
The colour is fantastic for Autumn and Winter and the detail at the waist draws attention to the smallest part of my shape.
I hope I have inspired your style this Easter and maybe some of you will head out shopping or book a styling session with us!
Happy Easter Everyone!!
