Bored of Jeans?
If you answered yes to this question, then today’s blog is for you. 🙂
Now while I personally don’t wear a lot of jeans (my most recent jean wardrobe addition was a gift) it is important we do express our universal love for this multi-tasking item.
The denim revival has been fun. It’s allowed us to wear jeans to places we never thought we would: work, evening dinners and even a smart casual affair with the right blazer.
We’ve also enjoyed the colour explosion, plum jeans in winter and pastel hues in summer while sequined jean pockets and leather accents have worked well with our other wardrobe items.
However, many of us have denim fatigue.
As you know, my day to day life is spent working with women, many of whom tell me they’re seeking more alternatives to just wearing jeans.
Jeans have become a failsafe option for many of us and while they do a great job, today we invite you to get creative and see that there is life after denim (even if temporarily).
Now we’re not talking a purely corporate trouser, pants have definitely showcased their versatility in recent years and appear in an array of styles from your classic tailored pant, cropped lengths, colourful chinos and menswear-inspired wide pants are also making a comeback this spring across the globe.
And don’t forget legwear. It’s easy to reach for the jeans in winter in particular but you may also want to team tights with a skirt or dress, just don’t forget to cover those buns (leggings are not pants)!
In today’s blog we bring you a few pant styles across different price points and hope they will inspire you to consider another pant style instead of jeans.
A final style note to consider your body shape, in all cases, pants are supposed to elongate you so ensure you choose a cut that helps lengthen your pins whilst also flattering your silhouette.
As always, any buys, suggestions or if you recently put your jeans on a wardrobe break we’d love to hear from you in the comments below.
Enjoy!

Love your creative suggestions Cindy and actually put the two from Cue on a couple of clients. Yes they had the confidence to wear them and looked amazing with both ankle and long boots. Also bought the perfect jean at Jag for yesterday’s client and she couldn’t believe hoe good they looked. As you say, all of the above have the potential to be “dressed up and dressed down”. So what fun and versatility in creating that unique and creative look. Your suggestions slways open up new doors for us girls to play.

As usual Nikki, Thank for commenting. Yes they are some great alternatives out there than just wearing jeans 🙂
Love the French Connection slouch pants, but no idea what to wear on top. Any advice on how to balance that style pants?
Yes Anna, I know it can be a bit tricky, It’s best to have a more fitted/structure top and accessorize in the neck area. Hope that helps 🙂
YOUR MESSAGE
Love your blogs, Cindy but haven’t done my style workshop yet so don’t know what my body shape is yet! Can’t wait to find out at my workshop in June.
Keep the blogs coming. 🙂
Thank you Sue 🙂 Yes, not long now until your Style Workshop! Glad you are enjoying the blogs xx
Cindy – love these pants, esp the Seed ones. The qtn is, how do we wear pants like the ones shown above on the weekend during the day? Ie, I dont want to be wearing heels. i guess that’s why we go for jeans as the easy option. I’d love to try some of the above but need my footwear to be comfortable and suitable too..any suggestions..
Rachael, try an ankle boot or a ballet flat with a longer or pointed toe, this can help to make the pant more casual……..the shoe is the key to dressing it up or down! Good luck! xo
