Mystery Shop: Slip & Slide into Sleek
Oooh I do love these mystery shop blog posts!
They remind me to re-visit old favourites, discover new fashion haunts and above all – deliver them directly to your inbox.
Thanks for participating. You know the rules – here come the clues…
This brand is celebrating its 50th anniversary! So since this store has been around since 1965, many of you may already be regular clients. Or at least window-shoppers.
It is an Australian established brand (we do love these the most) that focuses on high quality clothing and meticulous craftsmanship.
Many of the styles will seem classic yet contemporary.
Sure, they love black, but among these sleek classic styles are other favourites such as monochromatic ensembles, nautical prints and soft leather pieces. You’ll also find an injection of trends through their seasonal collections with neutrals and a burst of red dominating AW15.
In fact, its’ founder was initially inspired by Australian cities and their architecture and design to create the first collection. An inspiration that you can still see in the clothing styles if you look closely enough.
Now I would consider this investment dressing as there are many luxurious pieces available without the ridiculously high price tag.
Women are catered for from size six to 14. Personally, I have found the sizing on the smaller side, particularly if the cut is fitted. However, if the garment is of a looser fit, this will offer a bit more room to move.
Racks hold classic cardigans, knit dresses and they’ve recently ventured into the sports luxe look with soft cotton tees and loose jogger pants.
Now personally, I love that this store offers simplicity with attractive sleek styles that are made to last. You can mix and match to your hearts delight.
This is also a store to visit if you need to “suit up”. Or, if you like your denim, try their very reasonable and classic jeans.
Gentleman? Well, you’re also invited to get your fashion fix of business, smart and casual wear. Think jeans, on-trend tops and tees, knits, coats and suiting.
The store also offers a variety of gorgeous accessories; shoes, bags and belts.
Even the fabric has been considered with designers sourcing cashmere, cotton, wool and leather across the globe.
Now, I used to feel that this label was primarily corporate, however, it is certainly a store that has moved with the times. While traditional business wear is still offered, business attire has relaxed over the years and this store has catered to meet this market.
Finally, the emphasis remains on cut, quality and style.
So were you patient? Did you guess which store we are shopping at?
We’re in SABA!
Have you been into SABA recently or are you already a regular shopper? Let me know your shopping stories and I hope you’ve enjoyed our photos.
I must also finish off this post with this beautiful quote from SABA’s founder, Joe Saba:
“When I see something that is a possibility, I like to pursue it with conviction.”
I think these words moves beyond a fashion pursuit and is something we can all take into our day.

Hi Cindy, I have discovered SABA when a Sportscraft assistant told me they sell size 4. Perfect fit for me. I love their clothes. Will be making lots of visits to SABA stores. Oh, and it’s great that they have been around as long as I have too. 1965 – a very good year!

Hi Sue that’s great to hear! The sizing is great when you are tiny and I absolutely love the sleekness of Sabas styling! xo
