Must Have Gadget For Time Poor Women
Some of you may remember a post I wrote on facebook two weeks ago about a little hand steamer I had just purchased. Now, two weeks on and I’ve decided this subject deserves its own little blog post!
As a person who is terribly short of time, I have found my new little steamer to be an absolute blessing. I’m fortunate enough to now have the luxury of a spare room after having so many kids at home, so I have set it up as a dressing room, and it is now fully equipped with my new addition to the family – my hand steamer.
Why is it so fabulous, you ask?
• It takes only 20 seconds to heat up.
• Useful for steaming items that are not dirty, but are creased, giving them a just dry-cleaned look!
• Saves on dry-cleaning everything!! Which saves money 🙂
• Gets to delicate areas and pleats.
• Shirts and Skirts that are only worn for an hour or so and don’t get dirty but creased.

The hand steamer I invested in was only $49 from Kmart (Homemaker brand). This did not break the bank, but what a little beauty it turned out to be!

1 Minute Later, no more creases!
When you can find things that make life that little bit easier, why not pass the word!
Does anyone else have any gadgets that help with your day to day ease of getting yourself ready? If so, please post below so we can chat about it.

Thank you for this advice. I have always wanted a hand steamer but they are so expensive. I’m going to Kmart tomorrow to get one. Thanks Cindy!
OMG Enza, so great to hear from you! Did you get it? xx
I also have this steamer, and yes, it is great for wool, silk and light fabrics. Makes tricky fabric effects a breeze and works fast. Not so useful for anything heavier, like heavier cotton T-shirts, denim etc. These still require an iron to get them really flat.
Hi Kathryn, that’s great! Did you get my message about the make up? xx
Yes, I bought it and it is fantastic! My daughter works in a clothing boutique and does a lot of steaming there so she has been doing it for me. It is wonderful for silks that I would never dare to iron. That was a great tip. I always enjoy reading everything you write and I am so pleased that you are writing a book because I will definitely buy it. Enza x
Thanks Enza! xx
