Mystery Shop: Simple and Sweet Style
Welcome to our latest Mystery Shop that takes us to a fairly new store at Chadstone.
This is an Australian brand that likes to use the relaxed elements of its country’s origin to reflect both its’ collection and store design.
This store appeals to shoppers who seek casual yet refined pieces that are drawn from natural fabrics.
While the brand does unveil seasonal collections, much of their items will stand the test of time, thanks to their classic style and premium fabrics.
This in turn has created items that can be layered and where mix and match is the name of the game.
Think cardigans, soft jumpers and knits, casual denim and simple tees.
Their latest collection consists of both a BASIC and SS14 category. Subtle stripes, gelato tones and earthy colours fill SS14 while BASIC focuses on denim and top combinations.
As you wander through the store, you might find fabrics including linen, cotton and silks. Leather pops up in a skirt and jacket along with quality leather shoes and totes. Relaxed tees are constructed from soft cotton jersey, while cashmere and merino wool make up the knitwear. Oh and if you’re seeking this season’s denim skirt, head in-store.
Now denim is a big part of this brand. They offer beautiful quality jeans, skinny leg are available only in dark denim and you’ll find a mid dark with a flattering fade down the front of the leg which helps to elongate.
They also have a pale washed denim, all in a mid-rise. The size in store starts from an XS to XL and I found sizing pretty accurate.
So today, along with trying on a few selected items, I’ve taken some extra photos to showcase the brand so you can get an idea of the collection breadth.
Please keep in mind that the pieces are a fairly simple and basic style. This is not a brand that focuses on high fashion, rather on the quality.
Finally, for those who know their fashion news, Rebecca Judd recently collaborated to create a sub collection with the brand.
So now it’s over to the photos for your guessing pleasure and remember, no peeking until the end.
……
Who guessed that we were at Skin and Threads?
This gorgeous store is a lovely addition to Chadstone and reminds us how stylishly powerful simplicity and quality can be.
So what are your thoughts on this brand? Favourite look? Do you already wear it or are you keen to head in-store to try it?
As always, let’s get a conversation going, I look forward to hearing from you.
