Runway to Every Day Review

“Who woke up today frustrated because they had nothing to wear?” Cindy Newstead asked the audience.

“Imagine…just for a minute that you can begin each day with a new question. You open your wardrobe and say to yourself: I have so many beautiful clothing options – what will I wear today?”

“This no longer needs to be an aspiration, you can change the conversation today.”

These were the words that set the scene for Runway To Every Day – a style workshop designed to challenge you to be your best self, remove negative self-talk and encourage you to discover your own personal style and the life-changing possibilities that come with it.

Last weekend, Style With Cindy in conjunction with Chadstone – The Fashion Capital brought Runway To Every Day to life across two fabulous events.

Seven Style With Cindy Clients ranging in body shapes and sizes, from 27 years of age right up until 50+ braved the runway in this seasons latest fashion collections.

Cindy individually dressed each client from head to toe according to their personal attributes and tastes – because you need to love what you’re wearing.

We saw 27-year-old Ashley regain confidence to dress for her age and gorgeous pear body shape, 45 year old Julia no longer feels like a “nanna” proving leather can be elegant (and sexy) while 46 year old Ian demonstrated his new dapper self in a personal and professional style overhaul.

Throughout the workshop, Cindy offered coveted style advice, clever dressing strategies to hide lumps and bumps and trend forecasts for the fashion lovers. AW14 is looking to be our most colourful and versatile yet. Of course, black is always back but will be compete heavily with navy and crisp white.

Gelato and pastel colours will also offset the cooler hues for the season. If you prefer a little zest to your look, patterns and prints are plentiful this AW14 from houndstooth and fun geometric prints. Following a successful debut last year at Chadstone The Fashion Capital, we are pleased to say (thanks to some astounding feedback) that it was again a hit!

Some of you headed straight to the shops afterwards purchasing looks straight from the runway while many audience members booked into our Style With Cindy workshops or personal shopping consultations.

A huge thank you to those who attended and for those Cindy and the team had the opportunity to meet. And to all the familiar and new faces to our Runway To Every Day, we were delighted to have you there for the evening – Chadstone bystanders included! (Thanks to the balcony watchers!)

Now in typical Style With Cindy fashion, we have thrown ourselves right into Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Week (VAMFF) this week so you can expect the first blog post of our model series next week.

We will feature two posts each week on each individual model, the three looks that they wore and details on why the clothing was chosen, style tips and of course where to purchase.
