We have been incredibly busy at Style With Cindy styling our clients for the new season and Melbourne’s Spring Racing Carnival.
I absolutely love this time of year, when the weather is starting to warm up and ladies are excited about frocking up for the first time after winter hibernation.
It is so energising to style clients in the colours and cuts of Spring after a long winter, it just feels fresh so fresh and fun!
What makes styling for the Spring Racing Carnival even more fun, is being tasked with creating a look within the theme or dress code of the day. We love a challenge, and it is as satisfying as finishing a puzzle, putting all those pieces together for a perfect outfit!
So, I thought I would share what we are seeing in stores for Spring that you can also easily accessorise for the races.
On trend this season
Midi Length Dresses
Off the Shoulder/Cut Outs
Paper Bag Waists
Check on Check
Colours and textures of the season
Pastels soft blue, pink and lemon
Hair Scarves for buns & pony tails
You don’t have to spend a fortune to look special at the races, there are affordable finds such as Forever New, Portmans, Lovisa and Sportsgirl to pick up some race day essentials.
There are some beautiful options at higher-end stores such as Ted Baker and Karen Millen that if purchased in classic styles and colours will last for years in your wardrobe.
Department stores have a wonderful range, with David Jones hosting international designer looks and a great range of shoes and accessories.
